Disney-ABC pacts with Amazon . com

Immediately around the heels of Disney-ABC Television's cope with Netflix (introduced last evening), the audience has pacted with Amazon . com Video for similar privileges. Shows include ABC Family's ''Greek'' and ''The Secret Existence from the American Teen,'' the Disney Channel's ''Phineas and Ferb,'' and Marvel cartoons ''Spider-Man'' and ''X-Males: Evolution.'' Amazon . com also nabs a number of ABC Studios' choices within the deal, including ''Lost,'' ''Grey's Anatomy'' and ''Felicity.'' It is the season for digital deal-making, apparently. Hulu pacted using the CW on Friday, just two days following the internet designed a similar agreement with Netflix. Using the precipitous decline in DVD sales within the last couple of years, content producers are wanting to find new back-finish distribution shops for his or her product, and Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon . com will be ready to duke it for digital supremacy.
